Therapy
& Somatic Experiencing®
Move through life transitions.
Feel emotionally regulated.
Although the landscape of mainstream psychotherapy is beginning to change, traditional psychotherapy continues to have a heavier focus on thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviors. In contrast, somatic therapies acknowledge that the body's instinctual threat responses often drive the show.
My approach unites traditional counseling methods that help overcome limited thinking patterns and difficult emotions, with the body-centered techniques of Somatic Experiencing® (SE). The SE model works with the nervous system to shift out of fight, flight and freeze states, therefore promoting a deeper and more sustainable shift within the body— so you can become resilient to life's challenges.
I also support clients with sensory integration difficulties to feel less exposed to the world, bringing better focus and ease to daily activities.
With many clients, I use the Safe & Sound Protocol as a tool to help our therapy be even more effective.
I help my clients:
-
Navigate significant life transitions (break ups, career changes, parenthood, new beginnings, etc).
-
Learn to set healthier boundaries & feel more empowered
-
Feel more at ease connecting with others
-
Feel more inspired and engaged
-
Transform shame and limiting beliefs
-
Overcome anxiety and depression
-
Reduce sensory hypersensitivity
-
Improve focus
-
Move beyond the limitations of the past and live life from a place of confidence and inspiration

Testimonials
Working with Laura has been one of the greatest opportunities for me to find a healing I didn't think was possible. I needed a therapist who was skilled with both the mind and body and I found this in Laura.
The somatic work she does has changed my life and given me a sense of stability I never knew I could find. Laura's deep awareness and attunement to who you are and what you need is unmatched. Her energy and experience is clear in the skillful way she supports your process while also letting you find your true power to really take control of your own healing. I am so grateful for who she is and what she offers as a therapist.
